I have a job interview today and they want me to show how much i know about photoshop, what should i know?
I have used multiple photo editing softwares, but never photoshop it's self. I assume it's just about the same as the others, but I am not sure. Is there anything that I should know about it or shortcuts or something that I could use to impress them. They just want me to demonstrate and talk about what I know.

- Definitely provide them with examples of your work. But yeah things like shortcuts, functions, what some of the tools do, add-ons, etc
- Show them all that you know. If you really want the job you have to show they everything you know about the subject hope this helps :)
- don't fear just speak what u know and don't lie as u may face problems later .... but be bold and say whatever you know try working on photoshop and if u are not getting it then tell them i am sorry i had worked on other softwares and i thought i just might be the same ... tell hem that if provided a little bit guidance then u can easily work on photoshop without any confusion.,....., as u know other softwares this might not be difficult... anyways ALL THE BEST FOR YOU FROM MY SIDE...
- You can't BS what you don't know. Best advise is to say what you mentioned here. Good luck.
- Shortcuts: .... CTRL & + (or) CTRL & - (zoom in and out) .... CTRL & Z (undo) Depending on how much time you have, you should play around on it. Take a picture from your computer and do a bunch of editing on it. experience is really the best.
- You are apparently unfamiliar with the editing program they have, I would spend as much time as possible using the program (YOU can download a FREE Trial here. http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/ I would also spend as much time as possible watching (& or reading) tutorials online. I typed in Photoshop tutorials and click on Video on Google. http://video.google.com/videosearch?sourceid=navclient&gfns=1&ie=UTF-8&rls=RNWE,RNWE:2006-37,RNWE:en&q=photoshop%20tutorial&um=1&sa=N&tab=wv You could also bring in a portfolio of your work along with references, and possibly a video you could make of using the different programs (as you will most likely be unable to demonstrate that there. Good luck to you
- Make sure that you know how to 1.Bring the photo into photoshop. 2. How to make basic edits (cropping, resizing, etc.) 3. Fix picture imperfections using Clone Tool, For extras go here: http://video.about.com/graphicssoft/Photoshop-Shortcuts.htm Just be aware of what the job is... then you will know what they are looking for :)
- I actually think that you can use your lack of knowledge to your advantage. Grab up a free trial as suggested above. Check out some tutorials as suggested above. Learn as much as you can and write down everything you learn. At the interview, explain that you had not used photoshop until today to begin to prepare for the interview. Then pull out your list and show them everything that you learned in such a short amount of time. If they would ever consider hiring someone who does not have great photoshop skills, it would be someone who shows a strong willingness and ability to learn and learn quickly. Best of luck!
