What are some good color combinations for a suit?

I'm thinking about buying another suit and was just wondering what some good combinations for the suit. I'm a heavyset white guy with a reddish goatee and brown hair. If that is any help. I'm getting this suite for multiple uses, applying for jobs, going to dinners, going to certain events, and just lookin good. lol Tie Shirt Jacket Pants - If I feel like it maybe a vest, who knows What are some good color combinations?
