Where can owner/op find local trucking jobs in Michigan? OTR is a little too much-Short runs ok. Any ideas?
all listings want you to be out for a week or more-anyone know where to apply to get home evenings 1-2 days during the week as well as weekends? Overtime is not a problem.

- You could always check with Fed Ex Ground. They use O&O's.
- My nephew is a trucker in Louisiana and just got his authority. His wife signed up at http://www.getloaded.com/ and now gets loads for him. She keeps him down in the Southeast and he's been busy with no problems. I also called him now and he said to try this outfit http://www.crengland.com/?gclid=CJT559yJhIwCFSBMGgod8HD6yQ . He said he heard from other drivers they pay go and can do locals and OTR runs. He wasn't sure if the are up by you. I did a Google and there are allot of brokers you can work with up by you.
- Often there are postings for jobs at the truck stops - all the load boards have job opportunities and there is always companies like Roadway / Yellow / Old Dominion - your phone book would also have listings under cartage companies / those are local routes only as well as if you are near a major airport - freight agents need drivers for pick up and delivery
- Have you checked with either FedEx, or UPS? Both would be delivery jobs and should be only for a set shift.
