What are some good places to get an accounting job at if I'm just starting my career?

I'm currently earning my associates in accounting at college. I should be finished obtaining it by the end of this year, but I want to start working in March. What are some good places to search for a job, what position would I start out in, and what would the average beginning salary be for it? Thanks for any help.

1. Make the rounds of the large CPA firms and say that you are looking for a Junior Position. You should be able to contact about eight large firms, You might get lucky or they will tell you what additional education you need, Persevere!!
