How can I roughly figure out how much I earn a month, from a yearly salary?

I am job searching and just wanted to know a rough calculation of how I can figure out how much I would earn a month from knowing the yearly salary (after tax). I know it's not a simple as dividing it by 12 so no sarky comments please!

3. Everybody's AFTER PAY tax will be different based on their various deductions, tax exemptions, etc go to www.paycheckcity.com and use the paycheck calculator to find net pay
4. Actually it is as simple as dividing the yearly salary, be it gross or net, by 12 months to learn your monthly gross or net income.
