Do you have to be apart of the MP? and whats the typical salary? chance of deploying? How long you deploy for on average? Sorry lots of questions I understand me signing up means I'm going to deploy but its good to be informed! thanks!

  1. They do and bomb sniffing dogs, call a recruiter as they may not have them in your state. Best advice is to study hard for the Adsveb entrance exam, the better you score the more jobs will be available to you
  2. The military DOES NOT have S&R K-9s as S&R is not a mission the military regularly does. We do however have bomb dogs (about 90+%) and drug dogs.
  3. There are no K-9s assigned to non-mobilized national guard units. The dogs are too expensive, in too short a supply and require much more training and upkeep than can be provided one weekend a month. In fact - most dogs that are trained solely for search and rescue work are owned by fire departments ot private individuals who are certified members of official volunteer search and rescue groups.
