Should I really go for this career in engineering in U.K ? Help..!!!?

Are we really running out of petrol in the next coming years ? Will careers in petroleum engineering end soon ?? Bachelors in petroleum engineering in U.K ? I don't know if it sounds good but I don't think that there is any scope of it in United Kingdom . Please help me .... Should i go for this career or not ? I really like this field but as a student I'm afraid weather if i get job or good salary in U.K . Please give advantages and disadvantages about this field .   1. I would not worry about running out of fossil fuels just yet. Petroleum Engineering is a great field to get into, there are lots of high paying jobs in locations around the world. As for the UK, most jobs would be related to the North Sea offshore platforms.
  2. If you are really worried then open your options by taking a chemical engineering degree which will still get you into the oil and gas industry and manufacturing plants. Adv. High paying jobs. Dis. Most work is in aberdeen.
