Is this job legit or a scam?

I received a reply from a job that I applied to. It was posted on a popular job search website. Anyway, the company is called Accountemps and I guess they serve as a contractor where they find companies people to hire. I was told to bring drivers licence, social security number, and references. I'm curious because most of the jobs I've received replies to have been a waste of time. Should I proceed with this?

1. Accountemps is a legitimate business and has been around for many years. If you're sure the job offer is really from them, then it's legit.
2. I've never used one, but from what I understand, they will want ten percent of your first year's salary. What they are able to do that is better than your own diligence, determination and qualification, I really can't say though. Never mind. I think I had them confused with those places that act as your agent in a job search.
3. Accountemps is a legitimate temporary employment agency so it is OK to give your information just as you would have to to an employer. They become your employer and send you out on temporary jobs.
