Who does the job search? (When choosing 4 jobs + apt area)?

After I put down my 4 jobs plus my aptitude area, who makes the decision about what job I get (when one is available)? Does the recruiter do this? Does the [job counselor] at MEPS do this?

1. Actually it is done by other at MEPS, you never see. The Air Force has never really publicized the system they use to assign AFSC's at MEPS. I do know at MEPS, they assign jobs at the end of each month, but not for everyone. All job assignments are based on your rating. You rating is based on your Area Line score ( gen, mech, admin, elect ) for the jobs you choose, your AFQT score, and previous education. Yes, what class's you took in high school or college matter. If a AFSC says it is advisable that you have taken physics, then you are much more likely to get that job, if you have taken physics. Those with the highest ratings are assigned the jobs first. 2, Your recruiter has Nothing to do with job selection.
