- you'll need to research the immigration rules of each country. Typically, each country requires a work permit application be submitted on your behalf from your prospective employer.
- Only employers can obtain an employment visa - you cannot. With the real US unemployment rate still around 22%, including thousands of software, computer & IT professionals, it is very difficult now for employers to obtain labor certification - prove there are no Americans qualified and available for the position. It is increasingly difficult for employers to justify the time, hassle and great expense of bringing in any foreign workers. Americans are better, readily obtainable, and cheaper. The UK likewise has high unemployment, and fewer employers are willing or able to justify the expense of hiring foreign workers. They just aren't needed. Beware "body shops!" These operations are illegal in the US - only the actual end-user, not an agent, can get legit visas. Body shops have thousands of Indians benched in the US - and since these benched "workers" are in violation of employment visa regulations, they can be barred permanently from the US under visa fraud provisions. Do NOT pay anyone to get you a US/UK/etc job. You have to apply directly to employers - but there really aren't any out there. The only place doing much hiring is India. Stay there.
