Are my evergreen trees and arbor vitae lost?
We have had torrential rain over several days and a very heavy snow pack that melted just before the storm hit. Now many of my evergreen trees and arbor vitae are tilting, some at almost a 90 degree angle, because the ground is so soaked. What do I do? I can stake the arbor vitae I suppose, if that's the right thing to do, but I can't handle the trees. Please help. Thank you.

- Yes, stake them. Use a collar - you can make them out of a garden hose with a hose through it. When you put the first collar about the tree, you can pull it upright and then do the other 2 or 3. I have done it alone and I'm 70 yo. When you a really huge plant, you can attach the rope to your car bumper and pull it that way. Yes, I've done it that way too.
