Whats the best way to find part time work?

I have been unemployed for about a year now, ya im lazy dont bash me but I would like to start looking for a job again. I have never really been that great at finding jobs so I am wondering if people think its better to apply at places online, or fill out applications in person?

1. go best website to find job at ur place... craiglist.com and go find ur state and it easy to get a job or u can go snagajob.com but craiglist better u can get job eassly like me
2. It depends on what kind of job your looking for really. But if your looking for a job in your area here is what I recommend: Check your local newspapers and job center listings for all advertised listings and make a list of the ones that interest you. Ask friends and relatives if they've heard of any openings. Take a nice long shower, shave, etc...and get a haircut if you need one. Dress appropriately for the job you plan to apply for...go in person and request applications from those you listed. For part-time be on the alert for those businesses that are not advertising in papers or at job centers. Lots of places just hang out a sign or post something in their windows. Be nice and polite to the person who gives you the application form...as they are probably your FIRST reference whether you know it or not. Fill out your forms neatly and completely. Return them also in a presentable manner. Don't have friends hanging out with you when your on your job search. Do it yourself. A car load of lolly gaggers out chumming around is an instant turn-off for employers who are looking for a good employee. Be honest and don't get discouraged if you don't get hired at the first one or two or three or four yatta yatta -- keep your head up -- that just means theres a better one right up the road and your bound to find it. You've been out of the job market for awhile -- don't let that stiffle your confidence but do recognize that it's a lot easier to find a job when you have one -- so once you get one under your belt it will be easier sailing (that is assuming you put forth due effort and enthuiasm with the one who banks on you). Good luck...you may find your not as lazy as you think if you look for something you enjoy, present yourself well, and get in there and get after it!!! Take good care.
