Im moving from new york to Maine. hows maine? boring? too cold? etc..?

hey.. I currently live in ny and im considering moving to maine next month. I wanted to know what its like as far as nieghborhood, environment, making friends, schools (ill be going into college), best parts to move to, hard to find job? I'll be looking for something paying at least 12 an hr, and anything else useful. thanks :)

1. I can't answer all your questions as I've only been to Maine once, but when I was there, the weather was really pleasant, there were many beautiful sights and the people were incredibly friendly. I loved it. Best of luck with the move.. : )
