A job I'm not particularly interested in- should I take it?

I completed my bachelor's degree three months ago and have been job hunting since. I would love to join a FMCG as a management trainee and eventually get into branding, but due to the economic recession I've been unable to find one. There is a vacancy for a research executive in a research agency and I have a high chance of getting selected. The problem is, I'm skeptical about joining because that's not what I want! Should I go for it without being too picky because of the crappy economy and job scarcity OR wait till a management trainee post in a FMCG comes up?

  1. YES Go For It
  2. take the job & excel in it, while you continue to scout for that job you really want to do. good luck
  3. in an economic downturn you HAVE to take it! there is plenty of time when the economy comes back to try what you really want to do. Many people would kill for a job right now. There was a job opening around my city for a middle school janitor and they had over 700 applications for it...
  4. my father would say 'A paycheck is better then NO paycheck" so since you are not working now and you do not see youself getting that job you really want. get the one that is offered to you.. you don't have to stay forever and you never know, you might like it..
