How do I get multiple copies of a letter of recommendation for college teaching jobs?

I'm graduating this May with my M.S. degree in mathematics. I want a lecturer/instructor position at a two year or small four college, and I will hopefully be able to convince two or three of my professors and possibly a former boss to each write a letter of recommendation for me. Anyway, since I will of course apply at multiple schools, what is the best way to do this? I can think of three possibilities: 1. My professors/former boss(es) write a unique letter of recommendation to each job I apply at. Ie Dear Person 1, at College 1, _____________ Then for the next one, Dear Person 2, at College 2 _______ and so on. This seems like too much of a pain in the butt that I don't want to put them through. 2. They write a letter of recommendation for me, email it to me, and for each place I send it to, I simply edit in a different addressee's name/college 3. They write a letter of recommendation but they simply use "To whom it may concern" (or similar). Then I just photocopy/print a bunch of copies of the letter without having to edit anything in....

  1. Option 3. These people are doing you a favor, they're not looking to spend the rest of their lives writing letters for you - and Option 2 is probably illegal.
