What can disqualify you from being a volunteer search and rescue/reserve police?
I'm clean, no misdemeanors, felonies, not even a traffic violation or ticket of any sort.... however I have experimented with weed about 6-7 months ago... I do realize that this can prevent me from joining the regular police department seeing it was considered "recent" however, does it still comply with volunteer work? I'm just trying to get some volunteer work on my resume so I can get a job... and later become an officer... I'm 18 years old, just got out of highschool in june. ha, I never considered the foreign country possibilities... Correct, I am in the U.S, California San Diego to be exact.

- Sounds like you're not in the UK, but if you are any crimes of dishnoesty, theft, fraud etc etc, serious assault and any higher grade crimes apply. Low level drug misuse might let you slip through providing it was only the once. Same applys for regulars as for specials.
- crime.
- not being stable enough to handle the job. thats not to say your crazy not everyone is able to handle what they may find in that profession or volunteer oportunity.
- Previous drug use will disqualify you from nationwide search and rescue organizations, like Civil Air Patrol. If you wanted to try local search and rescue, then you would have to research your own county's policies. Civil Air Patrol: http://www.gocivilairpatrol.com/html/commander.htm
