When should I send out my curriculum vitae?

I am planning on doing my student teaching and taking the PRAXIS II this fall, so I will graduate in December. At what point should I send out my curriculum vitae to school districts? Also, should I package copies of my portfolio with my cv, or should I simply take copies of it to individual interviews? (The portfolio would be on a cd.)
