How many people are usually selected for face to face interviews for a job at a company?

Say you've been contacted for an interview at a company. The interview is face to face and takes about 2 hours. You're going to meet with the director, the recruiting staff, and get a tour of the place. About how many candidates can you assume they've already interviewed or are going to interview? Obviously if chosen for an interview, they must've at least liked you on paper... How many people are usually selected for face-to-face interviews?

1. There is no "set" amount, I just came back from an Interview, and she had a STACK Of Resumes on her desk, still waiting to be interviewed! It depends how many people have the right experience for the job.
