Most christmasy film (from list)?

It's a long list, I don't expect anything more than a quick scan down it. Also it's empires list (or part of) of the top 500 films (only up to 150s so far) these are the films on the list that I haven't seen (also the numbers are the place where the film is. If you want to see the full list here's the link http://www.empireonline.com/500/68.asp 11.raging bull 12 the apartment 13 china town 15 the dark knight 18 casablanca 21 the third man 28 citizen kane 32 butch cassidy and the sundance kid 36 andrei rublev 37 a clockwork orange 38 heat 40 vertigo 41 the 400blows 42 kind hearts and coronets 46 on the waterfront 48 this is spinal tap 49. evil dead 2 50 seven samurai 51 8 1/2 55 la dolce vita 58 his girl friday 60 come and see 63 sunset boulevard 64 oldboy harold and maude 67 tokyo story 68 annie hall 69 three colours red 71 the night of the hunter 72 12 angry men 74 the treasure of the sierra madre 75 a matter of life and death 76 manhattan 78 rosemary's baby 79 the thin red line 80 the life and death of colonel blimp 82 the great escape 83 brazil 85 blue velvet 86 carrie 87 the king of comedy 92 once upon a time in america (1984) 93 spirit of the beehive 94 the wild bunch 95 yojimbo 98 north by northwest 100network 102 the hustler 103 rear window 104 the rules of the game 106 a man for all seasons 107 an American werewolf in London 108 the tree of wooden clogs 109 touch of evil 110beforesunset 111fitzcarraldo 112 I am cuba 114 the conversation 116 rio bravo 117 miller’s crossing 118 withnail and I 119 the wages of fear 120 The Battle Of Algiers 121 Los Olvidados 122 The Princess Bride (1987) 123 A Woman Under The Influence 125 A Bout De Souffle 126 Pat Garrett And Billy The Kid 127 the sting 128 Lost In Translation 130 The Man Who Would Be King 132 pans labyrinth 133 Double Indemnity 134 Seven 135 duck soup 138 cool hand luck 139 Blow Out 143 Cyrano De Bergerac 144 There Will Be Blood 145 Sophie's Choice 146 shampoo 147 Notorious 148 Z 149 The Red Shoes I'll add I've decided to go for a christmasy film, doesn't have to be about christmas just one that feels christmassy

  3. Oh My God.. theres just too many to read!
  4. An American werewolf in London.
  5. Scrooge in all it's adaptations!
  6. Bad Santa is the best Christmas film ever. Billy Bob Thornton is well funny.
  7. Commando, the most christmasy film ever on TV... Every year its on Channel 5 in the UK
  8. A lot of the above I've never heard of, let alone seen, but my choice from the list would be The Great Escape, even though I've seen it dozens of times. I associate The Third Man with New Year's Eve; many years ago a friend & I visited some Chinese students on New Year's Eve, to find them watching The Third Man with the lights turned off. They didn't really understand what it was about & asked us to explain it!
  9. Annie Hall
  10. Nothing on your list.
  11. Well just by scanning the list I can see that this is probably the least christmassy you can get in terms of movies. The one that stuck out to me is A Clockwork Orange. That's one to save for Halloween if anything. Mostly fantastic movies but none I would suggest watching on Christmas Eve- does it have to be a movie from this list? I'd say either Citizen Kane, Casablanca or 12 Angry Men. All old, but all classic and atleast not gory or violent. If you want something christmassy- It's a Wonderful Life, Harvey (not a christmas movie but will definetly put you in the mood), Home alone (always fun to watch) or Elf. So many to choose from, but hope I helped :) Happy Christmas!
  12. the only thing that made me feel remotely christmas-y was annie hall.
  13. I recommend, Duck Soup, pat Garrett and Billy the Kid, La Dolce Vita, the great escape, manhattan, and the treasure of Sierra madre. Jingle Bells!
  14. rosemarys baby
