  1. a p*ssing contest! cool!
  2. I think both jobs are very dangerous. Just shake hands and agree that both are just about as dangerous, though you are in a helicopter mostly safe and he is out on the open, but in bad weather you still have to go out and he gets to stay home. It is a tie.
  3. i would say logger is way more dangerous. my father was a logger and people were getting seriously injured A LOT.
  4. Hello Job for me is most important topic. After a search i found this useful web site http://www.jobseekcentral.com/ Cheers
  5. Well they're both risky, but I agree - I think logger sounds more dangerous.
  6. It's a different kind of danger. The motivations behind each action effect the approach. Logging is about money and quotas, when things are about that, safety tends to fall to the wayside. The Coast Guard, among other things, is about saving lives, so safety is going to be a priority, because without it, the mission is less likely to be successful. There's different amounts of training for each job, different physical standards. Logging could be much safer if it weren't so rushed, rescues could be more dangerous if you and your crew weren't so well trained. Loggers have a higher death and injury rate, in that sense, their job is more dangerous. But the environment you face on those hairy rescues is ten times more dangerous. You're just given better training and preparation.
