Military earch and rescue?

27 years old with a BA 2.8 GPA. EMT-B, First aid and AED. Interested in search and rescue. Navy SAR? don't really know much i hear it is volunteer? CG?-Do they need swimmers? impossible to get the job? AF-CSAR what do you need to get this job? Are they looking for people? Would like to join the military but only if i can get a search and rescue or position, so does the recruiter state this on your contract before you go in? What else should i look for on my contract since i have heard that u can get screwed if you are not carfull? What other benefits can or should i be able to get? Do i join and then mabey ill get picked for this job?, because i don't want that to much of a chance. Any information on how the process works and how to get the most benefits if i decide to got his route. I do know i need to score high on the asvap and be in good physical shape- I think that after boot camp ill be in good enough shape. again let me know what you think. I think ill be ok on the test and the physical agility but again dont want it if i cant get more of a guarantee. Please respond if you have experiance in this matter.

1. Good choice with pararescue but you need a much higher GPA before I answer any of these questions.
2. Most work like that (except for the actual pilots) is done by enlisted soldiers, so if you want to be a rescue swimmer or something, college isn't required and is irrelevant.
