Which state is better for workers compensation: California or Colorado?
My work comp company is trying to dismiss my CA(where I was working) case and move it to CO (where my address was). Is CO better for them to move it to?

- Well, it's a tossup. CA limits the duration of PPD payments more than CO. CO, the employer ALWAYS picks the doctor. CA, the employer can PREDESIGNATE the doctor, but if they didn't, you pick the doc. It's pretty much a tossup, although the weekly maximums are no doubt higher in CA for TTD. Generally, YOU get to pick which venue you collect under, and your choices are: 1. the state you legally reside in 2. the state where the office you work out of, is located or 3. the state you were in at the time of injury (excluding traveling).
