What jobs besides a medical biller or coder would be good for a person with fibromyalgia?
I am a 24 year old female who was recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Recently I graduated from college, so I am fairly new to the workforce, so that makes it even more difficult to judge whether the job would be good or not. If anyone knows of any jobs that would be good, I would appreciate the help.

- It really depends on your pain/sickness level like how long you can tolerate sitting, standing, schedules, walking etc. For me I can no longer work due to fibromyalgia due to being sick and in pain most of the time in unpredictable bouts rendering me unreliable. I tried working from home PT as an insurance company biller and that even fell through due to the unpredictable bouts of pain and fatigue If you can hack it hang in there as long as you can (working). Being disabled and home is not the picnic that some think it is
- It depends how your fibro is affecting you. Everyone is different. If you can type w/o pain, medical transcription is a good career path. Also, medical office assistant, medical office management, and/or paralegal.
- I know how you feel. Im 18 and have fibromyalgia. Its making it hard for me to go to school and Ive been trying to think of jobs that my fm wont interfere with. I think it depends on your main problems with your fm. Mine is sleeping. I could never handle a job that starts at 7 every morning.
