What jobs are most easily available to someone with a degree?

I'm about to start studying for a degree and I realise that once you've graduated you can specialise in a job suited to your degree but what are the most common jobs for graduates? I've been trying to read up but it's all rather confusing. It seems many people who graduate end up in jobs quite unrelated to their degree. I really don't know what I want to do in the end so I'm hoping for some good suggestions. I'm doing life sciences by the way.

1. you can be a scientist, but i dont think those jobs are abundant. i have seen a lot of jobs advertised for social workers, accountants, engineers, and teachers. but those all require degrees in their specific field. i doubt you can be an accountant with a life science degree
2. You can be an accountant even if you don't have a degree in accounting as you get some sort of training on the job.
