  1. no a curriculum vitae(also called CV for short) is for a job, it contains your personal information, name, age address, phone number(s), previous work experiences, educational qualification(s) and so on. The one for universities is a UCAS application and personal statement, in that one you don't need to add stuff like you worked in McDonald's when you were 15.
  2. It's a little more detailed than a resume. It's basically you telling them why you are so great! If it's for school, write about your experience, education, academics, honors, awards, clubs, affiliations, pretty much anything that relates and makes you look qualified.
  3. Its a C.V ...i think the longer word comes from greek.. Its what you hand into employers when looking for a job... Uni's wouldn't really need one...but you could show it...as it will have all your grades : you need the certificates for Uni. What you should put on it..: 1.all your qualifications - A-levels and Gcse's plus any other 2.your hobbies - shows what sort of person you are 3.your interests - i know it seems like they wouldn't look at it..but trust me they do...they wanna see if your the right person and are interesting. 4.Type it up on computer...handwrittenn doesn't look nice..also make sure its font 12 ..nothing too big 5.Last paragraph should state what your personal achievements are. 6.You also write what secondary school you went to and what year you started and what year you finished. NEVER PRIMARY SCHOOL. lastly : Sell yourself!! try to make yourself seem so perfect and right for the job...convincing all the way through it. Hope i helped!!!!!
  4. it is for a job not a uni, a personal statement is what uni's want!!! an essay about you and your assets to the university
  5. In the United States, "A Curriculum Vitae, commonly referred to as CV, includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, and affiliations..." When used by international schools, businesses, etc. it refers to what in the United States is known as the resume ... The urls listed in below provide tamplates and also additional information. My CV has my positions and reponsiblities, degree work, publications, seminars and workshops presented, and continued education activities. Hope this helps.
