Can I be a Rescue Swimmer in the Coast Guard Reserves?

if not, are there any other Search and Rescue jobs available within the Coast Guard Reserves? Also, how far away are you allowed to live? I am from western Maryland. Thanks!

1. You generally can't be a Rescue Swimmer in the Reserves, as we don't have a Reserve Aviation community. There are plenty of SAR related jobs available in the Reserve, but it all depends on what positions might actually be available in the location you're looking to drill in. Best bet is to contact your local recruiter or go to www.uscg.mil.
