Is lying in a resume/currriculum vitae considered fraud or criminal?
Is giving false information in a resume considered criminal if you got found out? I mean i know you would get the sack if you got caught but is it criminal?

- Yes, It’s depends on what you lied on your resume/curriculum vitae. If you are talking about experience most off the people do this, if you are talking about other qualifications you should need to prove it i.e. certification, if you failed to provide that, In this case it will be yes but all is up to your employer
- IN THE WAY, yes it is considered to be fraud or a felony. Your curriculum vitae is considered to be a public document right or left? RIGHT. Once you fake the contents of it, it is now considered FALSIFICATION OF PUBLIC DOCUMENTS and is liable for criminal offense. BUT when it comes to company who hired you knowing what you wrote in your CV is not true they will not prosecute you about it they will just terminate you on this ground. Prosecuting you for what? Falsification? This is your right to write whatever you wish to prove in the CV. If you like to write there you are a DOCTOR or even a PHd graduate even if you are not, then do so. Just don't let them find out the truth of your lies in time. But if your document is used for government purposes or for being a witness in some crime or murder, and you submitted a false document such as your CV with all those doctored statement and wild dreams of being superman and the government found it out then you are going to court for this and jailed.
