  1. you could be a classroom assistant or give the slower kids one on one help. even a secretary or dinner lady. i know these sound a bit demeaning but they can be good fun and will help you pay bills/rent until you find a better job
  2. You could be a Teaching Assistant, or a Learning Support Assistant, helping what another answerer called the 'slow kids'. If you ever call them that you would get the sack. They are people with learning disabilities. Incidentally someone I know who had a LSA last year got a sea of As at GCSE last year. If you had a good degree you should be able to get a TA job. You might be able to do SCITT, which is teacher training in a school, after a bit of time as a TA or LSA. Kent has a good website for council jobs, including school jobs, as does Hertfordshire County Council. You could also try a FE college, they might take you as a TA in a Maths GCSE class, or as a lecturer. They might even hire you mid year as a lecturer, as sometimes people leave for one reason or another mid year. Training as a lecturer is two years, while working. You might even want to stay in FE.
