What should I pack on my trip to California and Colorado?

I'm going on vacation to California and Colorado. I'm staying 3 days in Cali and 3 in Colorado. I'm coming from Hawaii. And I have no idea what to pack! *I'm college visiting in California *Snowboarding in Colorado So yeah I have no idea what to pack, can someone help compile a list of things that I should bring? P.S. I'm buying snow/snowboarding clothes in Colorado so I don't need to worry about that right now. But day to day what would I need to bring?

1. Just pack what you would need. Clothes obviously. Take a few snacks, maybe some portable entertainment. And, if you're going to California, you might just wanna have a little fun while you're there. Pack some summer fashions to keep cool if you're going like to the beach or something.
2. same as you would need at home... one little oddity is that with higher elevation you may get more sun exposure than in hawaii or california, even though it is colder in snowboard colorado country... ive been burnt just as bad in january in colorado as in mid summer in tropics... probably want camera & accessories, small binoculars maybe, postcard stamps if you plan on buyig some on trip (easier than hunting for stamps while travelling), earplugs for plane ride & airport, & your favorite snuggly pillow from home...
