How can a 16 year old legally move out in Maine?

I'm a 16 year old girl. I live in Maine. I do not like living at my house because nobody gets along and my family doesn't really understand me. Too strict and will not listen. Sick of it. I want to move out with my friend. She's 18 years old. We will both get jobs. I am also in school.

1. Tough it out. Speaking from experience, your situation isn't unusual. Just get through your next couple of years in high school and then worry about moving out.
2. Legally; you can't. Mom is mean won't get you into foster care.

Just stop for a second, what your thinking of doing is no easy task. it sounds fun and all, it look around you, everyone is getting layed off from work. you need to stay in school. finish school then when its time look to move out. its hard ii know, but you have to find some other wy to deal with it. it will all work out. Good luck .
4. Unless you are being abused..I would stick it out, educate yourself on the working world make sure you get a high school diploma, and consider the military.
