Does anyone have tips for someone searching for a job as a chef?

I know a chef who wants a job at a fancy restaurant. I have tried Monster and other job listings with no luck. The chef in question has no computer. This is a courtesy posting.

1. Search on Craigslist
2. they need to go and introduce themselves and ask for work, it wont come looking for them...
3. If this person has a signature dish, prepare it and take it to various business in the area for the manager/owner to sample. let their work speak for itself.
