Jobs Simply

There's no Jobs anywhere NoT even TEmp job agencies, what can I do now?

I'm from CA. I went to the employment office, .. searched their job site and they pretty much have nothing for entry level people like me. Temp job agencies have 1 to 4 jobs( total) and they're mostly for super professionals. So what am I and people like me supposed to do? Going to schools or training doesn't help when we need money now! And it doesn't help people who are really slow learners. Moreover i can't get unemployment insurance cause i dont qualify.. i dont think. i'm 29 male

  1. Go anywhere and everywhere you can to apply for a job. Car washes, bus boys, custodian jobs, fast foods. Look on Careerboard.com or Careerbuilders.com Hotjobs.com Monster.com but watch for scams on it. Good Luck
  2. You have a couple of choices.. -keep looking -lower your standards and take whatever's available -relocate -join the military I'm not trying to be sarcastic, these are real options. jobs are still out there, you just have to be patient and persistent.
  3. well you can see if the military will take you!!!
  4. try jobs at night they have night and overnight jobs on their site (2nd and 3rd shift) alot of the time these are jobs nobody else wants so they are available.
  5. The best thing you can do is keep looking! I know how hard it can be and how much rejection you will get, but the more you look the more chances you will have of finding a job. Looking online can cover the most ground in the least amount of time, but you have to follow up with every application you submit. A lot of the job postings get 1000+ applicants per job. Following up will alp you stand out. A great site to use is TheOnlineBeat (http://theonlinebeat.com) because it lets you search 5 different job boards; giving you the largest options of available jobs and you only enter your job description and location once. Be sure to be descriptive in your search. Good luck!!!
  6. joberSotDot, I found a list of temp job resources that can help. http://www.temporaryjobemploymentagencies.com Good Luck!
