Multiple Job Offers but Background Check looming, what should I do.?

So I am considering multiple opportunities and I've come to realize that my background check could be problematic. While in undergrad (9 years ago) i was caught with Marijuana but the charge was brought down to a Disorderly Conduct - Misdemeanor charge. I did a quick background check just now using Intelius. That showed up as me having 2 charges, 1 for the Marijuana, and the 2nd for the Marijuana -> Disorderly conduct charge.... obviously need to contact my lawyer from 10 years ago to get this straightened out so the Marijuana offense is gone. anyway i have offer letters here, and I don't want to be in a situation where I say yes to just one, and tell the rest sorry... then later come back and ask for the job again because my background check on the one that I want disqualified me because of my background. So do you think it's Okay for me to go ahead and accept all offers, sign and return the letters, and wait till all the results comeback before i say no to a job that starts in mid-January? thanks

  1. Prioritize the jobs favorite to least. Call the first one and say you want to speak with them (in person preferably) and explain the situation. And go down the list until one says "no problem."
