What are some good OTHER places to check out for job listings?

I've done Craigslist until I'm blue in the face, and there are some interesting job listings on CareerBuilder, but the fact is, everyone and their mother is on CareerBuilder. The competition is so fierce that unless you've already got a lot of experience you'll get lost in the shuffle on sites like CareerBuilder and Monster. I'd like a nice entry level job. Why is that so hard to come by? Are there any other sites that I should check? I've gone directly to some companies to apply for jobs, but are there any websites that cater to smaller unknown businesses looking for good entry-level employees?

  1. For government jobs: - http://www.usajobs.com/ - your local city & county websites Also check the local newspaper websites. (Many go directly to CareerBuilder, but some still keep their ads in-house.) .
  2. Not everything is online, you know. For entry level jobs, go to the place where you'd like to work and ask for an application - malls and other retail and grocery stores, fast food.... Some of these companies will let you apply through their own websites.
