Do you use the internet to search for jobs?

Hi, I am doing some research for a project on people who use the internet when searching for jobs and would really appreciate replies to the following two quick questions: 1. What search engine do you use? 2. What words / phrases do you type into the search engine when searching for jobs online. Thank you sooooooooooo much :o) Insaan

  1. Tried and never get any calls back
  2. Over 70% of the UK searches for jobs online when they are looking. The most popular search engine is Google though Ask.co.uk is popular and I personally like dogpile.com. Indeed.co.uk is a fabulous tool which you type a keyword in and it finds the job ads for you. As to keywords, it completely depends on what type of role you are looking for. For me. I was using things like Sales manager, recruitment manager, Senior Recruitment Consultant etc... The big websites to look on are Reed.co.uk, Monster.co.uk, Totaljobs.co.uk, londonjobs.co.uk and also jobsite.com Putting your CV online is a very good idea as well though you mainly get agencies calling you. This is not a bad thing as many people can't write a CV and some agencies can be very effective. At least you will get your CV improved which will attract more employers.
