What is the difference between a re`sume' and a CV (curriculum vitae)?
Aside from the fact that the former is an old French word and the latter is Latin, what would distinctly differentiate the two or how?
Public Comments
- A CV is generally used by scientists and includes their published works and research. A resume is a more general document. Nowadays, however, the terms are used somewhat interchangeably.
- A CV puts more emphasis on your research, publications, etc. while a resume is generally intended to focus more on work experience.
