What's the difference between a resume and a curriculum vitae?
I think it might be that a resume must fit on a single page, and a CV has no limit. But that's just a guess. Anyone have any ideas?

- They are the same thing, just different names for 'em.
- They are the same, a Resume is what the Americans call them, a CV is what the Europeans call them. Hope this helps. I moved from the UK to the US in 2005 so I thought they were two different things too at first ^_^
- A resume is a list of positions that you've held, in reverse chronological order. Under each position you list duties held in that job. Most people need a resume. A curriculum vitae is an overview of accomplishments in fields or arts that don't necessarily have job titles to explain what you did. For example, an artist would need a CV to list exhibitions his/her work was in or a scientist would use a CV to list papers that he/she published. Curriculum Vitae means "the course of one's life" in Latin and so is supposed to cover things that aren't necessarily related to an average job title.
