How do I jobshadow jobs if I am already out of highschool and would it seem weird?

Well I am thinking about becoming a plastic surgeon, or an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. I was wondering if I am already out of high-school can I do job-shadowing because I know high-school kids have to do it alot for classes and stuff but I don't have high-school classes anymore. So how would I job shadow these two jobs and can I still do it or would it seem weird?

  1. It won't seem weird if the job requires a degree. Lots of college kids to informational interviews to make a final decision about a field of study. Essentially you call an office/company in the field you think you are interested in and ask if you can come in and talk to them about the field. Not sure if you'll be able to fully shadow a medical professional because of patient confidentiality issues, but you could certainly discuss the field.
  2. Before you go to do an interview with whatever employer, check out what they do there and never ask the question of what THEY DO there, if your interested in the field, do some Research, and next time you DO go for an-interview then the employer Will hire you for the position you MAY be interested in.There is nothing wired about looking or seeking work or being able to work, as long as it is something you love doing. Those three postion 's you asked about are all great, which one do you think you would love the most and how much education is required to train for those [postions??? Your choice. Have a great week
