Wouldn't it be nice if California invested in desalinization plants and left the Colorado River for southwest?
States like Nevada and Arizona need water. The main source for Nevada is the Colorado, yet a lot of water goes to the growing fields of California. With all the talk of drought and water shortages, can desalisation plants take up some of the slack? I realise it is expensive, but something needs to be done.

- It would be a great idea, but with all of the environmental laws in California, it would be very hard to build any type of plant especially desalinization plants in California.
- It would be far better to get the eco-laws reduced to the point where business could step-up to address these problems. Its been proven historically that private industry produce far better solutions to problem than government action.
