Can I learn Excel or Word online for free?
I'd love an office job. I'm a very fast and accurate typist, I'm extremely computer literate. I just lack the qualifications to put on my resume. I'm sure learning Excel, Word, Office or any of the programs typically necessary for receptionist/data entry work, would be extremely easy for me. Most job listings I read require knowledge of spreadsheets, etc. Basically, I'm wondering if there are any websites that can tutor you with these programs for free? I'm sure I could just download/buy the programs and figure it out myself, but surely I'd benefit from any kind of overhand guidance. Thanks for any and all help!

- I taught myself word and excel from reading the books. Go to the library and check out a book on Word and Excel. We are all so techy, we forget about old school ways of doing things. Reading books.
- http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4DMUS_enUS268US268&q=excel+tutorial Try this page; it lists all the Excel sites and tutorials and many are free.
- Yes! I took Word, Excel, Power Point,Outlook and Access classes and it was free! Each course takes 3 weeks and at the end you get a certificate. It's wonderful and really EASY. You could also just get some basic computer tutoring if you don't want to take the classes. It's a great way to improve your resume and impress future employers. Good Luck! www.gcflearnfree.org
- Hi, I think Bill Jelen (aka Mr. Excel) has the best on line tutorials, and they are completely free. I put a link to the list of the currently available tutorials below. There's over 100 of them. I also put a link to the iTunes download in case you don't already have iTunes (also free), which is required to play the tutorials. The tutorials are worth the bother of installing iTunes. They're excellent. -Jim Gordon http://360.yahoo.com/profile-i7JMeio7cqvhotIUwCzaJWq9
