I am really confused reg my job search... am I doing the right thing?

After 1 degree, 2 masters (International Relations) and 4 work placements (with no job offer at the end despite I was v good and professional), I decided not to accept unpaid internships anymore. However, the only paid jobs I've been offered at the moment are shop assistant temp placements. Should I accept even tho it's totally unrelated to what I studied for?

  1. Accept the job if you need the money but be careful you don't end up in that job for too long or your qualifications won't be valued or worth anything.
  2. why not?at least you'll be earning some money whilst your looking for more permanent work.good luck.
  3. Accept the position. If anything it will be valuable work experience. You can continue to pursue your career goals while you work.
  4. Yes, it looks good on your CV to a potential employer if you have a full work history, anything is better than nothing. Plus, nothing to stop you looking whilst you are in that other job?
  5. Haven't you heard that most jobs want people with "experience"? Take whatever you can get, especially if it pays anything to get the experience. It's better to have a low paying job than a no paying job or no job at all. Cheers!
