- Careerbuilder.com or snagajob.com
- When I first started looking for a job I had just moved to a new city, so I didn't know my way around or have access to a car. I did almost all of my initial job search online. I found one of the best resources was my (new) city's website. They actually had a link on the home page that was "Look for a job/career in Hamilton". They had linked websites like monster.ca and workopolis.com but they also had positions posted to work for the city (in different departments, at hospitals, the library, etc.), provincial and federal government. They also had some job positing pages I had never heard of (so that really expanded my search). Most things posted online you can fill out the application or send your resume and cover-letter in an email to the hiring manager. I also suggest thinking up some specific companies you would like ot work for (a certain bank or all the major banks, insurance companies, school boards, whatever field you are looking for a job in) and going directly to their website. Most major companies now have the job application process right on their website. Good Luck!
