- also known as a resume. a persons career history and qualifications.
- it's essentially a resume. I've seen my professors use it to list the various courses they've taken over their lifetime.. the various degrees they've attained.. the various special projects they've completed.. things they've published. to my recollection, 'vitae' comes from latin for 'life' ...curriculum actually has to do with course like... track/race. but it's used to ..essentially, list the academic courses taken in one's life
- I guess Simon was faster than me . . . But the right spelling in Latin is : CURRICULUM VITAE !
- It is a Latin phrase which means the history of life and is normally use to describe your job history, education, and qualifications to a prospective employer. Typically called a resume in the U.S.
- A résumé, also known as a curriculum vitæ (CV), is a document containing a summary or listing of relevant job experience and education, usually for the purpose of obtaining an interview when seeking employment. "Curriculum vitæ" is Latin meaning "course of life." Often the résumé or CV is the first item that a potential employer encounters regarding the job seeker, and therefore a large amount of importance is often ascribed to it. Traditionally, résumés have been, like careers themselves, oriented towards what a person has accomplished thus far. In most contemporary career consulting the trend is to fashion the document towards what that person can accomplish in a particular job. This is sometimes called a 'targeted résumé.'

- CV - Curriculum Vitae. there is a difference between CV and Resume. The primary differences are the length, the content and the purpose. A resume is a one or two page summary of your skills, experience and education. A goal of resume writing is to be brief and concise since, at best, the resume reader will spend a minute or so reviewing your qualifications. A Curriculum Vitae, commonly referred to as CV, is a longer (two or more pages), more detailed synopsis. It includes a summary of your educational and academic backgrounds as well as teaching and research experience, publications, presentations, awards, honors, affiliations and other details.
- It means the course of your life. Simply, it means the summary of your life events, presented in chronological order. Take care to explain any gaps in the chain of events, and add a section on what you learnt from your successes and failures. What specific skills you picked up from each of the Courses of study you undertook will also find a place there.
- It is noting but your Biodata or Resume which includes your name, address, telephone no , date of birth, course studied, experience etc.,
- A CV is some sort of developed "business card", if you want to take it as so.
