  1. On yahoo home page. In the search box type in free c.v's.
  2. Try Google - enter Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  3. CV helps you in getting an interview, not the job as such. In the interview your abilities will be assessed face to face. Nowadays for each job thousands of applications are being received and the employer really faces difficulty to pick up persons that closely match the job requirement. Hardly a minute or two will be spent to scan the cv because of many number of applications. So, in that one/two minutes your cv should 'speak' so that you will be selected for the interview. If it doesn't receive the attention the cv goes through filter. Therefore how to be distinct among several others? That is the challenge. Nowadays there are professional helpers/writers of CVs. Many books with practical tips are available in market. While we cannot say a particular method is the best, cv writing has become an art, an art of describing yourself and your qualifications and experience as the most desirable for the position to which you have applied. Therefore it is to be tailor-made for each post. Sending one standard cv for all the jobs is a bad idea. While preparing the cv the following points may be kept in mind: a. Put your best foot forward, briefly, sharply and predominatly. b. Articulate your qlfns and exp. to mostly suit the job description. c. Present neatly, attractively and distinctively--Paper, size, printing etc to be cared for. d. Do not tell lies but be bold in telling what you are. e. Use a covering letter appending the cv. The covering letter should really click in your favour. f. CVs vary depending upon the positions, candidature and your own credentials. g. Keep half-a-dozen CVs drafted differently and keep them handy for immediate use depending upon the posiiton. Similarly the covering letters.
