What is the best city in Colorado to move to from Southern California?

Been in SoCal my whole life and I've heard some great things about the wide open spaces, etc. in Colorado. Where's the best place to live?

1. Try the Springs (Colorado Springs). Cheap real estate, decent job market.
2. If you are looking for a big metropolitan feel, Denver is the only place. All other cities in Colorado have 100K or less population.
