  1. I river rafted once a long time ago in the Glenwood Springs, Colorado area. I don't know the name of the company since it was set up through the college I was attending at the time but I had a great time. I was a total beginner and I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The water was calm and I was never worried about falling out of the raft. Have fun!
  2. Hi Salty! The Arkansas River in Colorado is a very good place to try rafting for the first time. I would suggest the Bighorn Sheep Canyon run as there is a slew of class III rapids in a very scenic canyon. It is a lot of fun! The Browns Canyon run is hyped up and very crowded.
