Why are people from California so obsessed with Colorado?

I wouldn't hesitate to say there are half a million california-borns living in Colorado. In a short drive through Denver I see 50 California license plates! Their presence is becoming increasingly common in politics as well, a law passed that will make colorado's emission standards tougher than californias, and remember this is a red state! What's wrong with emission standards? My dad had to sell his '01 ford pickup because it didn't meet the standards! And Man-made global warming is BS! "WTH is a red state?" You californians gotta lotta learnin to do... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:2004_US_elections_map_electoral_votes.png

  1. Because everyone who doesn't live here wishes they did. Our state is the best in the union, and we'll be a blue state soon enough.
  2. You should read about Californication on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Californication_%28portmanteau%29 That gives a pretty good idea of the history between California and Colorado. http://truepolitics.us
  3. Wow! Are you serious? I'm dreaming of one day living in Colorado, and having a ranch in the mountains! I didn't know other people like me were obsessed with it! That's awesome and hilarious!
  4. Cause your houses are so cheap we can sell ours and by three of yours, lets all Califronicate Colorado you should talk that pinhead governor is now running the LA school system, Roy "Euthanize them" Romer
  5. doesn't democracy just suck when it doesn't go your way?
  6. Californians and developers from CA have wrecked California and Arizona, now they want Colorado and Texas. Beware the wild Californian with a bulldozer--you have to feed them salad and tofu--and land--which they will foul and corrupt. Oh, they will drive up your state's cost of living, make you pay for the infrastructure that's required to sustain their lifestyle which means higher taxes, and drive up the prices of homes until you can't afford to own a home in the state that you were born in.
  7. I understand the agony of having to tolerate the lib mindset of my state's expatriates, but emissions standards are the last thing you should be complaining about. Every state should have the strictest possible.
  8. it's all in your imagination. just like why are people from Montana so obsessed with Alabama? nobody knows.
  9. Yeah, 'silicon valley' relocating to 'silicon mountain'. Californians aren't too bad... after a winter or two, they learn that four-wheel drive doesn't equate to four-wheel stop and until they do, those CA license plates are handy warning signs. Personally, I've been embarrassed since 'Focus on the Family' set up shop here, so I'm glad the focus is on something else now. BTW... did our 'Focus on Your Own Damn Family and Leave Mine the Hell Alone' bumper stickers catch on anywhere else? About the emissions standards... Colorado eliminated state-wide emissions testing and now only requires testing for vehicles that travel regularly in and around certain zones, such as Denver. I don't see how that can be considered tougher on emissions.
