How do you ship a car from California to Colorado?

I live in California and I am wanting to sell my car to my friend in Denver, CO. I have never shipped a car, but I assume there are multiple services for it considering all the auto sales done online (ebay). What are the procedures of shipping the car? How much does it cost? What do I need to do to prepare the car to be shipped? What is a reputable company that ships automobiles? Thanks!

1. Try looking in Hemmings Motor News' other than that I know of no Steamship Lines going to Colorado.
2. Try this company (DAS) because many of my customers have used they in the past and were happy.
3. Check in the newspapers under transportation, I think the name was Schnelling? They have people drive your car, that need a ride to your delivery point! And it works well, I used them a couple of times, and drove for them a couple of times!!
