- The following site has some fantastic free to register job and career boards
- Here are some of the pages I use: www.careerbuilder.com, www.monster.com, www.yahoo.com/jobs, www.hotjobs.com, www.usajobs.gov. Plus any websites that your local community governments/papers, and/or hospitals would have.
- hotjobs, monster, carrerbuilder are all ok, I used when looking. Just be as specific as possible when setting up a search.
- Posting your resume may get you noticed by nursing agencies but as a certified nursing assistant you would do better to take to the street and hit the agencies yourself with your resume . Also look in the newspaper for a private home position OR Place an ad yourself. Besides your resume make sure you have good realible references from former employers and/ or patients. I am a former CNA and retired field nurse for an agency.
- I have always had good luck through Monster. It seems to work best when you tailor your resume to the job you are applying for instead of a one size fits all approach. I also sent a custom cover letter with every resume I sent to a job posting so they knew I wasn't blindly sending resumes to everyone I could think of. (Never hit "apply to job" Always try to send your resume to the contact listed instead.)
- You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit http://ommc.blogspot.com I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)
- Craigslist is an awesome site for just about anything! It isn't necessary to post personal information either...I have used this site numerous times for employment with great success. Good Luck...the medical field is always searching for dedicated and reliable CNAs.....ever considered returning to school to obtain your nursing degree? Broader options and most often enables one to write their own ticket (per say),
- Apart from major job websites like Monster, Hotjobs, Careerbuilder and Craigslist where you could apply for jobs and post your resume online, you could also search for jobs using aggregators like Simply Hired and Indeed.
