What is the best time to call an employer during a job search?

Cold calling is part of job search. What is the best time to call the prospective employer?

1. Its best to wait an hour or two after his shift has started.
2. First thing in the morning, then again a few days later call again as a follow-up, try to keep your name ringing in their heads. Call again a week later. If you get nothing, don't call back. If you continue you'll make yourself obnoxious.
3. If you must do a cold call, call an hour or so after work has begun. Usually, it's not the first thing in the morning when everyone is catching up on e-mail and phone messages. Good luck!
